Food Forest Volunteer Needed for Watering the Commons – July, August and September

Summer time at Spring Ridge Commons…

Greetings everyone,

We need to reach out to reliable volunteers for the hot, dry months of July, August & September:

Spring Ridge Commons is currently seeking volunteer help with watering the food forest, as soon as possible, from at least two volunteers:

Commitment is one or two days per week for 2-3 hours. Even if you can occasionally help, please let us know!

Hand watering is a fun way to get to know the plants & trees and interact with the vibrant Food Forestry community in Fernwood.

Deep watering of trees and shrubs increases food production, so if you are someone who loves foraging at Spring Ridge, this is a great way to contribute and give back to the forest!

Our intention is to implement a resilient and effective irrigation system, but until we have the funding to do so, we are relying on volunteer help to keep SRC well-hydrated.
